Organisers heaped praise on Showsec following a tremendously successful Camp Bestival this July. In the events’ second year, audience numbers increased by an amazing 50% from 10,000 to 15,000, including 5,000 kids.

Heavy showers of rain overnight and into the Monday morning caused headaches for drivers leaving the Glastonbury Festival site in Pilton.
Cars stuck in the mud caused big delays and one driver told the BBC it took four hours to leave the Somerset site.

Five teenage girls have been injured at a free concert performed by X Factor finalists JLS.
About 2,000 people had gathered for the concert at the 1,500-capacity Fairfield Halls in Croydon, south London.

THE licences of nearly 10,000 private security guards are set to be revoked within weeks, jeopardising crowd control at pubs, sporting events and concerts in the new year.
