Etherlive will be showcasing innovative technology services set to further revolutionise the live event industry at the Showman’s Show on 17th and 18th October 2012.

The company, known for its prominent technology role in the live events market, has enjoyed a highly successful year providing network solutions and temporary IT infrastructure for high profile events including the London Media Centre, based at One George Street, during the Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Jubilee Festival in Hyde Park.

At stand 70 Etherlive will launch ‘Live Event Footfall Analytics’ (LEFA), a system that can empower organisers and sponsors as they look to understand the flow of attendees at their events. The system was recently implemented at the PSP Southampton Boat Show to monitor attendee movement between areas of the site, identify the most popular areas and maintain out a count of the overall number of visitors.

Alongside demonstrations of the latest generation CCTV cameras, wired and wireless VoIP systems, and the latest Wi-Fi technology, Etherlive will be demonstrating its IPTV system. Delivering content to screens around events is expected to open significant opportunities for marketers and organisers as they can be used to deliver sponsor messages and ‘event TV’.

In addition to its primary stand, Etherlive will also be launching a new partnership with Intelligent Venue Solutions called Eventsuite.

Eventsuite is a collection of components which integrate the various key elements of an event, offering increased revenues and greater visibility to the organiser. The elements within Eventsuite can be taken as individual items or as one total solution depending on the event’s requirements. Each component is focused on a specific area such as access control, crew accreditation, asset management, contactless payment systems, social media integration, loyalty systems and data management.

Intelligent Venues has an extensive history of working within the event industry and high profile clients such as Goodwood Estates and The Isle of Wight Festival. In partnership with Etherlive, the two companies have developed a number of solutions which seamlessly integrate to deliver a ‘one stop shop’ for those wishing to bring, amongst other things, cashless systems and crew management to their event.

Etherlive enjoyed great success this year at WOMAD and the Royal Windsor Horse Show & Diamond Jubilee Pageant, responsible for delivering extensive on site wireless and wired networks and management of participant catering. The contactless payment systems were used at the Isle of Wight Festival and the Wireless Festival in open loop, allowing attendees to top-up credit and enjoy various VIP services.

Etherlive & IVS will run a demonstration of this technology at the stand by providing visitors with a personalised wrist band which they can use to purchase a free coffee from an on-site café.

Tom McInerney, Director of Etherlive, added: “We are hugely excited about the potential for Eventsuite and what new opportunities this opens up for events looking to deliver cashless environments and improved events management.”
