Le Maitre Appoints New Global CEO

The focus of Le Maitre Pyrotechnics and Special Effects on its US operation and its commitment to the North American market has now been further underlined by the recent appointment of a new global CEO – Rob Brenner – who will oversee both the UK and US companies. Brenner is based in the US and will also be President of Le Maitre USA LLC.

Brenner’s background has been as a touring industry executive with over 25 years experience and has included producing tours for such stellar names as Jonas Brothers, Justin Timberlake, Backstreet Boys & Britney Spears. His responsibilities in this role covered all things creative, organizational, logistical and financial, all terrific skill-sets that he now brings to Le Maitre.

Says Brenner “I’m really looking forward to working with such a well established company. Maintaining excellent customer satisfaction will be a top priority as well as continuing to produce new and exciting products. The US arm of the business is still relatively young and a key role for me will be to help the Austin team strengthen our operations while re-enforcing and expanding our position in the entertainment market”.

“I am also looking forward to bringing our US & UK offices closer together to work as one unified company that can serve our clients’ needs on either side of the Atlantic Ocean, as well as worldwide”.

Despite being based in the US, Brenner will be visiting the UK frequently, playing a key-role in helping the company continue to manufacture quality products, develop new effects and ensure the most efficient processes are in place to more than meet customer demand and satisfaction.

Le Maitre USA LLC was established in early 2011 following an acrimonious split with its previous distributor. Leading the industry in professional hazers, special effects machines and pyrotechnic effects, the team includes John McDowell, VP of Sales & Operations, and Randy Hicks, Head of Pyrotechnics Sales, who have been pushing ahead to build relationships and provide outstanding service to clients throughout North America.

Le Maitre LTD is the UK based parent company that has recently celebrated its 35th anniversary. Known as the dominant leader in special effects manufacturing and distribution throughout the UK and Europe, Le Maitre Ltd is also seeing strong growth in S.Africa and Asia.

On the subject of manufacturing, which takes place at Le Maitre’s Peterborough factory for the pyro side of the product range, the company is proud to have recently obtained a successful BAM Audit for their Quality System (Module E), and can now commence its CE certification process a year ahead of a July 2013 deadline. Le Maitre is the first UK company that BAM – The Federal Institute for Research and Testing, has audited.
