Gallowglass Security was formed in 1999, in direct response to corporate event organisers, amongst whom there was a prevailing belief that standards of security in the corporate event sector were poor.
Since then Gallowglass Security has evolved into a fully-fledged man guarding Company operating in a diverse range of service sectors. Security provision for the entertainment and corporate sectors remain at the epicentre of its commercial activity.
We believe that the key to our success lies in the philosophy that underpins all aspects of Company activity. We attach great value to the quality of leadership, and the empowerment of individuals working at all levels of Gallowglass.
Presently Gallowglass provides security for a diverse and eclectic range of events in both the public and private sectors These range from open-air concerts and festivals, conferences, election counts, corporate AGM’s and EGM‘s, film shoots, fashion shows intergovernmental conferences through to events attended by royalty and heads of state.
Whilst these events could not be described as similar, the security regimes that were
applied did share a common approach. Notably, extensive liaison, consultation, and planning with all stakeholders; effective management of the rig and derig, the application of effective crowd control measures together with the deployment of a firm but personable team of security guards to ensure the well-being and safety of all attendees.
Pivotal in our approach is the level of planning involved for all assignments, which is always commensurate with the complexity of any given event. We welcome early involvement with all stakeholders so as to assure that clear, transparent and effective plans are in place so that all objectives are made.
The health and safety of security, customers, consumers and all stakeholders is of paramount concern to us, and this is reflected in our exemplary health and safety record. We have a dedicated Health and Safety and logistics Manager who is responsible for ensuring that all assignments are risk assessed beforehand, and that all teams deployed by us are presented with full and detailed written assignment instructions; together with all findings of the managers risk assessment with directives on the appropriate control measures.
At all times great store is put in choosing the right individuals to provide a suitable leadership infrastructure, and develop a team of much greater effect than the sum of its parts.
Gallowglass Security does not simply believe in throwing numbers at a project, nor regard its personnel as merely bodies in Hi-Vis. By carefully selecting each individual, it aims to create the best blend of personnel to optimise the delivery of an effective team, from leader downwards.
Over the years Gallowglass Security has been fortunate to gain much repeat business. Far from resting on its laurels, it will always seek to improve its service and add value. Not only incorporating lessons learnt from other assignments, Gallowglass Security will carefully revue performance of all individuals involved, as well as its methodology.
