The Vespasian Security team is celebrating after being awarded the contract to be the sole provider of crowd management and security services to Y Not Festival 2012. Y Not Festival is a 10,000 capacity music festival held in Matlock, in the Derbyshire Peak District each August. Y Not Festival 2012 will see Vespasian Security deploy a team of specially trained crowd management professionals to the Derbyshire site.

Vespasian Security Director, Keith Gardiner said “Being awarded the contract for Y Not Festival is a testament to the great people we have working throughout Vespasian. Y Not Festival is one of several events that we have been awarded in the Midlands and this growth is a significant opportunity to show the region the high quality of service we can provide.”

Y Not Festival has seen progressive and sustainable growth every year since its inception in 2006. The festival expects to receive around 10,000 revellers in 2012 and the need to contract a specialised crowd management company presented itself with the increase in audience figures. Vespasian Managing Director, Oliver Gardiner has worked closely with the Y Not Festival team throughout the early planning stages.

Keith continued “We passionately believe in working with independent event organisers as a way to sustainably grow within the industry. I see Y Not Festival as an important step forward in our drive to offer Vespasian as real alternative to the large, multi-national crowd management companies.”

Vespasian Security Managing Director, Oliver Gardiner said “Y Not Festival is a young and very dynamic company with big plans for the future. I am proud that they have selected Vespasian to work alongside them in 2012. I can’t wait to get out on the ground with the team this year.”
