AR pic Hugo BossBlondefish the event technology company, has announced a major new technology partnership which adds augmented reality to its suite of services.   Blondefish harnesses the power of technology to increase personalisation, amplification and measurement of live marketing and already offers RFID and mobile app solutions. Today’s announcement sees the company join forces with augmented reality provider Crossplatform, with the deal making Blondefish dedicated providers of Crossplatform technology in the live marketing space.

Augmented reality uses a picture or facial recognition to create an interactive 3D environment viewable through screen based technology such as PCs, Macs and smart technology devices. Augmented reality is particularly effective at conferences and events where use of large screens draws the eye to a screen-based augmentation of live events. Augmented reality is one of the fastest growing areas of marketing technology and will become ever more important as screens, from mobile phone to giant LED, become the dominant media of communication.

Crossplatform is specialist in the delivery of media messages across a variety of platforms and the company is a pioneer in the implementation of augmented reality for use in promotions and merchandise. This partnership leads the way for Blondefish to become the only company currently offering RFID/ Augmented Reality Solutions in the live event world.

Laura Moody, Managing Director of Blondefish commented, “Augmented reality fits perfectly into the Blondefish vision. We’re all about interactivity, amplification and measurement. AR kick starts that process, helping brands create interaction and engagement with their audiences. There is a serious ‘wow’ factor to AR. You have to see it to believe it and when you see it you won’t believe it.”

“We are delighted to assist Blondefish in developing augmented reality within the live events area,” comments Nick Brown, Crossplatform CEO, “AR is ideal within this space, creating a three dimensional experience which demonstrates products brilliantly and brings complex ideas to life.”
