Jamie Oliver - Photography (c) Chris Terry 2010Less than a month after officially launching, Jamie Oliver’s new specialist events catering company, Fabulous Feasts, announces that it will be making its first foray into the festival market.

Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts will be providing mouth-watering food for two of this year’s major music and entertainment festivals – the poshstock of festivals; Cornbury Festival (3 & 4 July) and the celebration of world music; WOMAD (23-25 July).

Jamie and the Fabulous Feasts team will be devising delicious menus for both events which take place at Charlbury Park in Oxfordshire (Cornbury) and Charlton Park, Malmesbury in Wiltshire (WOMAD).

Hugh Phillimore, Director of Cornbury Festival, comments: “Cornbury is thrilled to welcome Jamie’s Fabulous Feasts to their first summer festival. Cornbury is famous for its great music and gourmet food so it’s a perfect fit for Jamie’s new events catering company. I plan to be first in line to taste the culinary delights prepared by Jamie’s top chefs. “

Jamie said: “Music festivals like Cornbury and WOMAD are just what Fabulous Feasts is all about – people enjoying great music in beautiful surroundings and wanting really good food to add to the experience.”

Launching Fabulous Feasts earlier this month, Jamie explained the concept of Fabulous Feasts: “I’ve been cooking for large events since I was a kid, and ever since then I’ve been really keen to take the event catering model to another level. Twenty five years on, I’m now lucky enough to have the best team behind me, the most fantastic food suppliers, and loads of really exciting ideas. The food at the festivals will be fresh, quick to cook and will be really competitive on price while always delivering genuine quality.”

Annie Menter from WOMAD says ‘Food is very much a part of the WOMAD experience and we are delighted to have Jamie’s Fabulous Feasts on site this year. Our Taste the World stage blends food and music together, giving the audience a unique opportunity to get up close to the artists while they cook some of their traditional recipes.

What could be better than eating really good food and listening to really good music?”
