Faces Do Some Good Deeds At Charity Concert In Stanley Park
Liverpool-based promotional staffing agency, Faces, lent a helping hand to charity at the weekend after donating employees to work at an event in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The staffing agency, which specialises in providing staff for events, stunts and street campaigns around the North West, arranged for ‘faces’ to assist with fundraising, festival face painting and coordinating outdoor activities at the Topshop Bandstand Picnic in Liverpool’s Stanley Park. However, it wasn’t all work and no play. A lucky few employees got to take part in an egg and spoon race with the event host, TV and radio personality Miquita Oliver.
The Bandstand Picnic, which saw over 250 music fans turn up to watch performances by The Zuton’s saxophonist Abi Harding, Candie Payne, pop rockers I Blame Coco, Los Campesinos and critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Blue Roses, was launched by Topshop to raise both awareness and funds for national charity, The Teenage Cancer Trust.
Philip Nixon, Director at Faces, says: “Although we don’t have a designated charity, we aim to help where we can and were delighted to team up with Topshop and the Isla Gladstone Conservatory in Stanley Park for this event. The role of my staff was to manage the event and coordinate all the volunteers who had kindly given up their weekend to help raise money for The Teenage Cancer Trust. It’s great to see how the community has pulled together to make this event a huge success.”
