Treasures of Lambeth Palace Library exhibition supported by ESC EVENTS

Stain glassEvent management company ESC Events has won the contract to supply security for the ‘Treasures of Lambeth Palace Library’, an exhibition featuring a diverse collection of manuscripts, archives and books, some of which will be on display for the first time. The exhibition includes the warrant for the execution of Mary Queen of Scots, books owned by Queen Elizabeth I and a rare edition of the Babylonian Talmud.

Founded in 1610 Lambeth Palace Library is one of the earliest public libraries in England, the exhibition celebrates the buildings 400th anniversary. ‘Treasures of Lambeth Palace Library’ is open now till 23rd July 2010, Monday – Saturday from 10.00am – 5.00pm, with ESC security on hand during these times.

ESC Events previously supplied event management services at the 2008 Lambeth Conference. Held at Lambeth Palace the event takes place once every 10 years with attendees personally invited by the Archbishop of Canterbury. ESC Events provided high level security for former Prime Minister Gordon Brown and set up a 10x10m screen which streamed a speech Brown gave on stage. ESC Events also installed a marquee with an ‘English Country Garden’ theme to host 1,800 guests for lunch. Guests were then shuttled from Lambeth Palace to Buckingham Palace, where guests were served afternoon tea.
