The National Self Build & Renovation Centre puts Bernie Cobb in charge
The National Self Build & Renovation Centre in Swindon has appointed Bernie Cobb as Business Development Manager for its Conferencing division.
Her new role at the Centre, based at Lydiard Fields, will see her take responsibility for promoting the Centre’s conferencing. She joins the Centre from Venues Event Management, based in Wanborough.
Bernie has seen all sides of conference management, from heading up conference sales for The Liddington Hotel and Principal Hayley Group’s Alexandra House, to arranging venues and events for a portfolio of top-brand clients including BT, Mercedes Benz and BMI Healthcare. After gaining experience working in different roles, Bernie was keen to return to managing venues, and thought that the National Centre in Swindon had great potential as a first-class conference venue.
The Centre’s Commercial Manager, Debbie Buggins, comments: “We are delighted to welcome Bernie to the Centre’s commercial team to help drive our events and conferencing proposition forward. Her wealth of experience in venue and conference management will allow her to further develop the Centre’s reputation as a conference venue, and I am confident she will help put the Centre on the map as one of the best, and most unique conferencing venues in the area.”
