Stoneleigh Park appoints Paul Southern as new director

Paul Southern has been appointed to the new post of commercial director at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.

Southern has worked in the events industry for nearly 20 years and brings a wealth of experience to the role. He was director and owner of The Ultimate Event Company until it was sold in 2000 and was also a director of European Events from 2000 until 2009.

More recently, Southern has been working with a number of agents and venues as an interim consultant, including an assignment as the head of sales at Alexandra Palace.

He said: “The phrase ‘hidden gem’ and ‘best-kept secret’ are over-used in the events industry. However, Stoneleigh Park has more than 1,000 acres of land, 7,000sqm of exhibition space, a suite of conference rooms, a hotel, a permanent party structure and an off-road driving track and despite my years and years in the industry I had no idea of its capabilities, let alone been on site.

“There is a fantastic team here and we cannot wait to introduce Stoneleigh Park to the corporate market. Stoneleigh Park will be a refreshing surprise to both new and experienced event people as most of the industry has been missing out on a real secret for many years.”
