Assured Events wins Association of University Engineers Contract

Cheadle based event organiser, Assured Events, has won the right to work on the Association of University Engineers’ (AUE) annual conference, for the next 3 years.  The AUE represents all UK based University Building Services Engineers and technicians who work tirelessly all year round, developing and maintaining the infrastructure and fabric of Further Education establishments.

This year’s conference will be hosted by the University of Manchester and will be held between September 8-10^th, along with an exhibition of around 35 national suppliers.  The 2010 conference will take on a +/-40 theme to celebrate the 40^th year since the AUE was established.

“This is a fantastic, multi-aspect project to work on” says Karl Perry, MD of Assured Events.  “In addition to the conference and exhibition, there are gala dinners, excursions, technical trips, social activities and the celebratory theme to organise.  It’s a great opportunity to showcase what we do best – which is to give our clients peace of mind.”

The AUE invited agencies to demonstrate their capabilities back in October but it was a further 6 months before the decision-making process was complete.

“We are already taking bookings for the exhibition and this is the first year that bookings and registrations have been taken on-line” continues Karl Perry. “We’re aiming to slash the paper element to the whole process!”
