British Military Fitness eventsA LEADING outdoor fitness provider has awarded its event management contract to York-based ivent management.

ivent will manage a series of events for the British Military Fitness (BMF) as it rolls out a national programme targeted at the corporate market.

BMF Teambuilding programmes have been specifically designed to inspire teams to do better, think more clearly as leaders and to work more effectively as a team.

Former servicemen and women will give clients the benefit of their skills and experience, putting them under pressure to make difficult decisions.  The course aims to help businesspeople translate these skills back into the workplace to make organisations more successful.

Crispin Vitoria, events manager at British Military Fitness, said: “We have run various successful, individual teambuilding events for companies over the last three years but with the continuing success of the public outdoor fitness programmes, demand from participants to move into the corporate sector has led us to develop a range of effective teambuilding programmes for companies. We are delighted to be working with ivent on this project.”

ivent’s director Gavin Newman said: “This is a huge win for our company and we are delighted to be working with such a successful, emerging brand. Using real service personnel means that clients will be getting the benefit of years of leadership training in these events.”

  1. There seems to be a lot of press recently about the fitness of those in the army. If the fitness manager is a former military serviceman who understands both fitness and the army, then I’m sure this will help.
