Fireworks spectacular to return to Minehead
The skies over the ‘Northern Gateway to Exmoor’ will be lit up in spectacular style as the Minehead Fireworks Festival gets underway on Thursday, November 3.
Organised by Butlins Minehead with support from the Minehead Events group, the free annual extravaganza starts as dusk draws in at 4.30pm, when Butlins opens the gates to its funfair for local people to enjoy free rides.
Volunteers from Minehead EYE will be selling seasonally themed food, including soup and toffee apples. The fireworks display will start at 7pm, with rockets launched from Minehead beach.
Julian Highfield, Butlins Resort Director, said: “We started the fireworks party for the community three years ago and it’s become so popular it’s grown into a regular event on the festival calendar.
“We love having the opportunity to give something back to the community, and it’s a great chance for families to get together for a good, free family night out.”
There is free parking at the Butlins from 4.30pm.
