Eat To The Beat at Orange Rockcorps
Eat To The Beat (ETTB) has been awarded an ongoing contract to provide all catering including media, artist, crew and VIP guests at the Orange Rockcorps concerts for film production company CCLabs.
Orange Rockcorps is a new initiative from telecoms giant Orange, encouraging young people to voluntarily give four hours of their time to local community projects to be rewarded with a free gig ticket. Headline artists so far have included Lady Gaga, N-Dubz and The Enemy.
The concerts are held at renowned UK venues such as The Manchester Apollo and The Royal Albert Hall and due to the nature of the concerts they have generated a huge amount of media and VIP interest.
ETTB is on site during rehearsals, then from production build-up, for the show itself through to de-rig. Ever attentive to clients needs, they serving a tailored range of catering from bacon sandwiches for production crew to imaginative canapés for VIP hospitality, while coordinated multiple dressing room riders for artists.
Fleur Smith from CCLabs said:
“ETTB created a catering world outside the venue and within an hour of load in we were all eating. The pre-production was turned around within a week and a half which shows ETTBs experience with events like ours, where details are often not confirmed until the day before the event. All artists, tour managers, touring crew, event and TV crews were very happy with the catering and ETTB’s flexibility, working around our extreme hours which leaves us with a very short time to eat. A well fed team makes for a happy team!
“To work with such an incredibly professional and well-oiled team as Eat to the Beat is an honour. So much so that all you really think about is the next meal to have a quiet escape from the hectic production schedule.”
