InsureandGo protect Big Gig against swine flu

| August 21, 2009 | 0 Comments More

UK insurer InsureandGo are providing Katherine Jenkins, Boyzone, Diversity and James Morrison with £1m of swine flu insurance for their performances at The Big Gig Weekend in Shepton Mallet at the end of September.

Kevin Newton, property tycoon and promoter of the event, has taken out the unique insurance in a bid to offer some protection against the possibility of the worldwide epidemic causing difficulties for the three days of concerts.

Perry Wilson, founder of InsureandGo, has expressed his pleasure at providing the coverage to protect the event against the possibility of swine flu.

Last month the ABI provided travellers with guidance about swine flu and the possible implications for holidaying of the disease.

Human trials of the H1N1 vaccine began in Australia approximately three weeks ago, and the initial results should be known in mid-September.
