Strategic Risk Awards ceremony is a winner for organisers DRP Group

WORCESTERSHIRE presentation and communication company the drpgroup from Hartlebury added to its roster of satisfied customers after staging the Strategic Risk Awards in Berlin.

The event saw 160 risk industry professionals from across Europe gather for the annual event, organised by Strategic Risk magazine, and the evening passed off so successfully that the company has already been commissioned to put on the same event next year.

The awards dinner included many influential names in the European risk management sphere, as well as some of the world’s largest insurers, brokers and companies in the business.

dpr’s project manager Kirk D’Cruze first visited Berlin last November to look at the venue and discuss the company’s requirements. drpgroup came up with a detailed proposal, which was accepted in January. Months of planning came down to one day – with six members of staff from drpgroup arriving in Berlin to ensure the ceremony went off without a hitch.

“We flew out to Berlin the day before and started building the set on the morning of the event,” said Mr D’Cruze. “By 5pm everything was ready and we had time to go through rehearsals with the presenter and sponsor before the event started at 7pm.

“The event went really smoothly. Everything was spot-on and the company were full of praise for us, with the head of the company thanking us personally and saying we did a great job,” he said.
