Melvin Benn, managing director of Festival Republic, opened the new outdoor activity area at Brambles nursery in Reydon, near Southwold, which has been part-funded by the Latitude festival.
The play area, which includes a sensory music area, reading seats and climbing frames, has extended the popular nursery’s outdoor space and will allow children of different ages to play together.
The £14,000 cost was met by Suffolk County Council and Latitude Festival.
Mr Benn said: “The play area looks really wonderful. Last year I put some money into the fund for the Christmas lights in Southwold, and this year was persuaded to help with this.
“The people here have all really embraced Latitude so to thank them, it is my intention to give a little bit back each year.”
