Three injured at Bearded Theory festival as Stage collapses
Three people have been injured at a festival in Derbyshire.
The music fans were hurt when a stage collapsed at the Bearded Theory bash in Ashbourne on May the 16th, according to BBC News.
Strong winds caused the collapse and those injured are reportedly receiving treatment in Derby Royal Infirmary.
Sally Booth, site manager at the event, told BBC News: “It’s been raining and windy all day but this was a freak gust of wind that was capable of knocking people over.”
Festival organiser James Willis added: “True to the festival spirit the personnel and festival-goers pulled together to ensure the continued running of the festival. The organisers are working to accommodate the acts which were due to appear on the main stage.”
