Isle of Wight festival signs secondary ticketing deal with Viagogo

| April 1, 2009 | 0 Comments More

Isle of Wight has become the latest major festival to sign up Viagogo as their official secondary ticketing and ticket exchange partner.

This follows yesterday’s announcement that Festival Republic (previously fiercely opposed to secondary ticketing sites) had signed a historic deal with the same company to be the official platform for their Reading, Leeds and Latitude events.

John Giddings, Isle of Wight Festival organiser said: “With the recent media speculation over untrustworthy ticket touts we wanted to make sure that festival-goers could purchase tickets from a reliable source. The Isle of Wight Festival has signed viagogo as they are undoubtedly the market leader in their area. They provide unparalleled expertise in secondary ticketing and we have absolute confidence that they will offer the best possible service to our customers.”

The Isle Of Wight Festival 2009 runs from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th of June. This year’s headliners include Razorlight, Stereophonics, The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, Neil Young and The Charlatans.
