Confident predictions from Out There Events
The boss of Manchester’s Out There Events believes that the current economic down-turn will prove to be good news for the events industry.
Marcia Incarico’s comments come as the company wins four new contracts to be delivered before the end of the year.
“We are experiencing one of our busiest times in terms of pitching, so business is definitely still there for the taking,” said founder and CEO Incarico.
“Unlike when the last recession hit in the 90’s and cutting back on marketing was one of the first considerations, companies now understand the value of marketing their business and looking after current and prospective clients through difficult times, which is where events play a very integral role. It’s a massive opportunity for the event industry.”
The company has recently picked up Whitehall Media’s Annual Infratech Conference; the Traffic Management and Parking Conference; UK Science Park Association and Manchester Science Park’s 25th Anniversary 2-day Conference; and finally Sharp Consultancy’s inaugural Finance Director of the Year Awards.
“With the business already secured, the confirmation of the new business won today and what’s on the horizon, 2009 looks like a very busy, promising year for the team at Out There Events,” she continued.
