One of the First E-Commerce Apps for Real-Time Ticket Purchases on iPhone & iPod Touch
TicketNetwork, the leading source for live event tickets and innovative technology solutions, today announced that it has partnered with e-commerce technology leader FurrySoft to release Tiggits, the second e-commerce application developed for the iPhone. Tiggits 1.0 is an end-to-end event ticket application for the iPhone and iPod Touch that leverages the iPhone’s unique abilities, interface and built-in security, by connecting users to TicketNetwork’s extensive ticket inventory.

Tiggits’ partnership with TicketNetwork, a leading source for the ticket industry’s most comprehensive inventory, will enable customers to have access to over a billion dollars worth of tickets to live events in North America. Ticket inventory is available on the iPhone for a real-time transaction without having to contact a call center.

“iPhone and iPod Touch users will be delighted with this highly convenient feature which enables consumers to make quick decisions regarding tickets for live entertainment via their mobile devices,” said Don Vaccaro, CEO, TicketNetwork “We are pleased to partner with FurrySoft to develop the industry’s second e-commerce app for the popular iPhone — we expect retailers and other vendors to follow suit as this is yet another effective way to reach customers,” added Vaccaro.

With its incredible ease-of-use, Tiggits offers four distinctive tabs on the iPhone and iPod Touch screens: Featured, Top 25, Search and Info. The Featured tab includes information on popular events with extensive runs. The Top 25 tab displays the most popular performances in the country. Users can also select the Search option to find venues, performances and actors in any desired combination. The Info page provides details and tips on how to use Tiggits and lists customer service contacts, support numbers and a host of information to enhance the users’ buying experience.

Each and every mobile-commerce transaction is encrypted over 3G, Edge and wireless internet connections protecting consumer information and privacy. Among Tiggits’ most prolific features is its ability for users to complete checkout transactions on the iPhone without exiting the application.
Tiggits for iPhone is free and available exclusively through Apple’s App Store or via this link:Tiggits

At TicketSummit 2009, January 6-8 in New York City, FurrySoft.com will demo the application and discuss the process of building the app. Additionally, the value of reaching the Web 2.0 market through both new tools and proven marketing methods will be addressed at the conference.
